FAQ

Find answers to some of the most common questions about my background, experience, services, racehorse training, ministry, and speaking availability. Whether you are looking for information about my work in the horse industry, mare and foal care, racehorse development, or booking me for an event, this page will help point you in the right direction.

What is your experience in the horse industry?

I have more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the horse industry. I started hotwalking racehorses for my grandpa at 12 years old, worked my way up to groom, and later became Assistant Trainer for him. After that, I rode bulls, exercised racehorses, and then became a jockey, where I had the privilege of riding for 20 years alongside my father. My background also includes breeding management, mare and foal care, barn leadership, and professional horsemanship.

What sets me apart is that I have lived this life from the ground up. I did not come into the horse industry from one angle only. I have worked as a hotwalker, groom, Assistant Trainer, exercise rider, bull rider, and jockey, and I have also spent years in breeding management, mare and foal care, and barn leadership. That gives me a well-rounded understanding of horses, racing, and horsemanship from multiple sides of the industry, not just one.

My work includes racing operations, breeding management, mare and foal care, horsemanship, and barn leadership. I also serve through ministry as Cowboy Evangelist and founder of H C Cowboy Ministries, sharing the Gospel through preaching, testimony, and outreach to cowboys, working families, and those in need of hope.

Yes. I am available for racehorse training and related horsemanship support. My background in racing goes back to starting as a hotwalker at 12 years old, then working as a groom, serving as Assistant Trainer for my grandpa, exercising racehorses, and later riding as a jockey for 20 years. That lifetime of hands-on experience gives me a practical understanding of what it takes to prepare a racehorse both physically and mentally

My experience as a jockey gives me a unique perspective in training because I understand what a horse feels like underneath a rider. I know how a horse moves, how they respond in training, how they handle pressure, and what they need in order to perform their best. That experience helps me recognize details that matter, including balance, stride, responsiveness, attitude, and how a horse is progressing both physically and mentally. It allows me to approach training with a deeper understanding of the horse from both the ground and the saddle.

Yes. My background includes breeding farm work, mare and foal management, and the daily care and responsibilities that come with helping mares and foals get the best possible start. My work is built on hands-on experience, careful observation, and a deep respect for both the horses and the responsibility of caring for them well.

Yes. I am available for speaking engagements at churches, cowboy churches, rodeos, revivals, men’s events, western gatherings, and other special events. Whether I am preaching the Word of God or sharing my testimony, my heart is to bring a message of truth, hope, and redemption that connects with real people living real lives.

I can speak at churches, cowboy churches, rodeos, revivals, ministry events, men’s gatherings, western events, and community outreach programs. My testimony and ministry are especially suited for cowboy culture, working people, the brokenhearted, and those who may not feel at home in a traditional church setting.

You can reach out through the Contact page or Book Me page with your event details, location, and preferred date. Whether you are interested in ministry speaking, cowboy church, a rodeo event, racehorse training, or equine-related services, I would be glad to hear from you.
